JSC New Stream considers charges against Dmitry Mazurov as entirely unfounded
JSC New Stream informs that on July 13, 2019, upon his arrival in Moscow from a foreign trip at the Sheremetyevo Airport, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC New Stream, Mr. Dmitry Mazurov, was arrested and taken for questioning to the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs  of the Russian Federation.

JSC New Stream considers charges against Dmitry Mazurov as entirely unfounded and sees it necessary to clarify the following:

-On July 11, 2019, Dmitry Mazurov had voluntarily attended the Investigation Department of the Ministry of internal Affairs to provide detailed explanations and extensive documentary evidence concerning the current investigation. A few days earlier, on July 5, 2019, the Investigation Department had formally refused to initiate criminal proceedings with respect to the investigated facts.

The unexpected arrest is in plain contradiction with the recent decision of July 5, 2019. It cannot be ruled out that this unexpected evolution and deprivation of freedom of Dmitry Mazurov result from pressure exercised by detractors of Dmitry Mazurov on investigating authorities.

Dmitry Mazurov has fully and  consistently cooperated with the investigating authorities, supplying all required information, explanations and documents relating to the investigation, and had no intention to leave the Russian Federation; to the contrary, his arrest occurred while he was returning to the Russian Federation from routine and scheduled business trip.

JSC New Stream reaffirms its trust and support for Dmitry Mazurov.
